During the state diving gather last month at Georgia Tech, simultaneously competitor had their own way of passageway the time and staying focused during the 11-dive contest.

Doing transpires has worked out just fine for Ramsey. After winning the Class AAAAAA maintain title as sophomore, he settled second this year to Colquitt Regional freshman Parker Hardigree.
This season had been just his fourth year and are generally diving competitively after an coin injury forced him to give up participating in baseball before high school. He started driving lessons with Gwinnett County National Schools dive coach Barrie Price-Kerr in the eighth-grade and has been employing rocket ascension to the top of the recreational ever since.
"He's just a really built in athlete, " Price-Kerr said. "Some kids are just gifted that way. Griffin is blessed with his athletic aptitude. I truly believe that even though he learnt second this year, that this year's other place was almost a better glory than last year's first. As they beat a lot of year-round divers, a great number of kids that have been diving since the feeding on eight. The kid who beat the gentlemen has been diving year-round since having been in third grade. Griffin surely could take second and I realize other is disappointing for someone as aggressive as him, but to have done keep in mind this being only a four-year diver — and the first year he was not full-time — that's amazing. Ramsey's junior season got off even to a bit of a slow start this fail after he broke his bear playing in a pick-up basketball performance just before the season started in October.
Preparing to be the competitor that he is, Ramsey didn't stop playing once this guy hurt his shoulder. He settled the game, and the following he night out he not only went to school however played basketball in P. At. And also played a round and are generally golf after school.
It was not until that night that he realized that one particular might be wrong as he had a tingley feeling in his shoulder. X-rays this short day revealed that he had broken fast left shoulder.
Ramsey was in some sort of sling and had to do physical therapy regarding four weeks.
He missed a few six-dive meets, but was able to return immediately for a 11-dive meets as he marched to another county title and a state-runner up finish.
"I don't if you it wasn't necessarily the best inferior thing to happen, " Price-Kerr assumed. "I think it gave the gentlemen some time to be away from the sport to consider what his level of desire was going to kind of create a hunger. It's tricky being on top and having somebody chase you, and Griffin would have to very much prefer to be the chaser instead of the chasee. So it kind of developed it scenario again for him combined with reignited his momentum and his desire. "
Ramsey seems motivated by means of his junior season. He divides his time during the season because of Price-Kerr and with the Atlanta Diving Combinaison at Georgia Tech during the full week.
Going into his senior season Ramsey said his dream is to help make the chance to dive for Auburn on college, and of course finish his vocation with another state title.
"My main goal is to win state senior citizen year, " Ramsey said. "But Parker he's amazing. He's so competent. I didn't dive the first 8 weeks of the dive season, so I rarely know it could have been different if I you possess dive those two months. I don't most suitable, we'll figure it out next year. "
