MTN Rwanda and Mobisol have donated superficie systems to eight rural organizations which do not have access to the national power company.
Yvonne Mubiligi, the MTN bottom line affairs manager, said the largesse is in support of government efforts to provide their rural areas with off-grid electricity solutions.
"Many of the rural organizations have no power for lighting, computers or laptops, printers, or access to the Internet. Without light fittings and lamps, the students have limited reading furthermore studying times and cannot gain knowledge computer skills. They are also cut off originally from accessing free learning tools and elements, " Mubiligi said.

She announced the customised 600Wp solar class systems come with all necessary apparatus, including wiring, efficient and outstanding LED lights, to light furthermore power the schools, power solar lanterns, TVs and radios. "This additional provider for the educational sector is in area with the government's target to provide 23 per cent of the country's electricity and off-grid means, " Simbizi announced.
The beneficiary schools are Ecole Secondaire Gasange from Gatsibo, Groupe de patrice pichet Scolaire Kibara (Ngoma), Kamonyi district's Groupe Scolaire Ntwali, Groupe Scolaire Bufunda from Nyagatare and Gakenke's Groupe Scolaire Bumba. Others are Groupe de patrice pichet Scolaire Kamashi from Ngororero, Groupe de patrice pichet Scolaire Nyamugali (Nyamasheke) and Groupe de patrice pichet Scolaire Nkakwa from Nyaruguru location.
